Social media, we've all figured out that it is a great marketing tool, form of entertainment, and communication. Here's a problem though, the amount of contradictory fitness information out there has ruined the trust of strength and conditioning, performance coaches and personal trainers.  If you watch three different posts about a bench press, you'll see three posts that all contradict each other. Why, you're watching someone's method as opposed to a philosophy on coaching. Someone that wants sell the way they do something as opposed to someone that wants find the best way for a client to accomplish their goals. Great coaches have philosophies and understand that their job isn't to impress their way onto someone but rather find a way to bring out the best in those they coach!

In 2009 and 10 I had the privilege of serving in the best platoon of my career in the worst possible situation. The Arghandaub River Valley is where I got my war. It was a 12-month long deployment that forever altered the men of 2-508th PIR 82D ABN DIV. The story of other companies within the battalion is being told. This is my part from my perspective. 3rd PLT A company should serve as a case study for team building, resiliency, and toughness.
